Flying Boat Museum
The Flying Boat Museum in Foynes on the Shannon estuary helps us remember the pioneering era of transatlantic aviation from 1937 to 1945. There is a full-size replica of a Boeing B314 flying boat, flight simulators, a radio room a weather room and a 1940's era cinema. -
Frank McCourt Museum
This museum is dedicated to Frank McCourt, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of the book "Angela's Ashes". It features rooms (a school classroom, and the kitchen and a bedroom from the McCourt home) as they would have been in the 1930s plus many artefacts and photographs of the period. -
Hunt Museum
Holding over 2,000 artifacts from Ireland and abroad, including pieces from the Stone Age, ancient Egypt, Bronze Age, ancient jewellery, enamels, crucifixes and artwork by Pablo Picasso, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Roderic O'Conor, Jack B.
